| Pre-school and our playground
In our Project area, children become creative and expressive by using open-ended materials. Participating in small groups, children learn to value and respect the work of their peers.
In our Dramatic Play area, children take on a variety of pretend roles. They create family scenes, and cooperate with one another to negotiate rules and roles everyone will play.
Our preschoolers are encouraged to experiment with writing tools. After completing a writing exercise and project, preschoolers label their work by writing their own names on it.
In our science center, children develop skills through experimentation. Everyday, they encounter principles of math and science. They quickly become excited and are given the space and time to enjoy their interests.
In the sandbox, children experiment with props. They use compromise and discussion to explain the rules of their “made-up” game. Our playground is designed to be both fun and safe.
